Freelance Writer/Assistant to a writer/ Producing team of cinematic television
Living in Los Angeles is exhausting to my dream- my dream of becoming a filmmaker—a visual story teller. In LA I see the possibility of this dream, but I’m constantly being pulled by the entertainment industries’ demands of fulfilling my dream. Hollywood says you must be an assistant, must have an agent, must have read Robert McKee’s book on Story. How does one ignore these steps, steps that may not lead to the kind of storyteller I want to be. I know I don’t want to be a filmmaker who makes reality television. At least in LA there is sunshine guaranteeing a good exposure. I press on with my dream and hope I don’t sacrifice it too much.
